Been awhile...

Been awhile since I posted anything.  Not even sure if anyone really reads these things.  But anyway... :)

I finished my latest tutorial about a month ago.  The Cylon Raider was a smashing hit.  So much so that it was pirated with in a week of being released. At any rate.  Here is a link to the sales page. and an image for you to enjoy.  I'm going to be starting a new project soonish and would like some suggestions ast to what people would like to see.

Hermes gets a face lift?

I had an idea that I would redo Andy Tubb's great concept the "Hermes" So I started out with the engines.
As I have been working on this I have also been recording it for a instructional tutorial on large surface greebleing, For 3d palace...  Enjoy.

Small Details...

I started the fine detail placement on the drive train as well as started to block out the Comm gear.  It's getting close!

More Detail Work

I forgot to post these the other day... Some shots of the details starting to take shape.  Once I'm done with the admin stuff for palace, I can get back to this.

The first shot is self explanitory, the second shot is how the cockpit looks with the fuel tank attached, the third shot is the details hidden by the fuel tank.

It's a balance issue...

What I did was rotate the drive housing and the power plant around 180 degrees and move the legs forward. Then I had to adjust the height of the cockpit's support to make sure i cleared the legs. Hopefully this should do it.
