Been awhile since I posted anything. Not even sure if anyone really reads these things. But anyway... :)

I finished my latest tutorial about a month ago. The Cylon Raider was a smashing hit. So much so that it was pirated with in a week of being released. At any rate. I had an idea that I would redo Andy Tubb's great concept the "Hermes" So I started out with the engines.
As I have been working on this I have also been recording it for a instructional tutorial on large surface greebleing, For 3d palace... Enjoy.

The first shot is self explanitory, the second shot is how the cockpit looks with the fuel tank attached, the third shot is the details hidden by the fuel tank.

What I did was rotate the drive housing and the power plant around 180 degrees and move the legs forward. Then I had to adjust the height of the cockpit's support to make sure i cleared the legs. Hopefully this should do it.

A fighter Tutorial Takes shape

Here is the basic shape of a fighter I am roughing out for a tutorial project on 3d palace.
Its inspired by the F-302 from Stargate SG1 and the Douglas F-4 Phatom 2. Will also have a big honkin canon like the A-10 Thunderbolt 2. Enjoy.

This is the leg from my imperial guard sentinel, Been working on it for a about a month off and on... Probably have to but it away for a bit as I have been chosen to be an apprentice Admin over at 3D-Palace.com. Besides helping to administer the site, I will also be creating project based, end to end tutorials focusing on hard surface modeling, detailing and other areas... I'm looking forward to this opportunity and I hope I learn alot. Plus all the projects will help me build up my portfolio.

Well, still no work. But im hoping that will change soon. My Dreadnought met a nasty end at the hands of max... It crashed a couple of times and corrupted all the project files... then quit working all together... I ended up having to reinstall it... So, I think I will put that little project on hold and redo my imperial sentinel instead... Anyway, I'm alive.
